Here we have an approximately 14mm max diameter elongated tip stretching sound/insert. The tip starts out at 7mm and gradually expands up to 12mm over the next 1.5" length. The remaining 3.75" of the sound slowly graduates from 12mm up to the 14mm maximum out to the 8mm retention valley just in front of the 17mm safety flange.
The overall length of the sound is approximately 5.25" with 4.5" insertable. In the very soft #00-50 silicone, it makes a wonderful stretching sound for those of you who want to move up to a larger diameter. This probe can be purchased with an open core for extended-length wear to accommodate drainage or with a completely solid configuration.
The silicone material can be selected from four levels of softness. #00-50 softness One of our softest materials is compressible and will give a constantly expanding pressure. For something in the middle, go with the #10, which is also somewhat compressible, or the #18 for just a little more firmness. Use the #30 option under softness selections for a firm sound but still quite flexible.
The #18 and #30 are the only silicone that we have available in pure translucent. The #00-50 and #10 base color are translucent white but can be mixed with all our standard color selections.
